I have been doing a lot of scrapping lately. There are tons of challenges going on over at Swirlydoos. I created this layout for the Swirly-hues Challenge. This is a new monthly color challenge. I used my September kit that is full of the new Bo Bunny ETC collection.
The photo is of my grandmother and one of her several husbands. My grandmother was a beautiful woman back in the day.
I used lots of Prima flowers, glimmer mist, smooch spritz, and dusty attic on this layout. I love using doilies on my vintage layouts. On the title letters, I used diamond dust after I painted and stamped the raw chipboard. It's a tutorial from Swirlydoos. It makes the letters look like the sugared Prima letters. Although, I think I may have used a bit too much diamond dust.
Don't forget to stop by Swirly-hues and check out the contest and all the amazing entries. Hopefully you will play along one month.
Tune in later this week for a new Twisted Sketch and some exciting new news.
Kim, I know I said this earlier BUT I'm soooo in love with this LO!! Like your work is totally beautiful! I've gotta try that technique with the chipboard letters-LOVE IT! And all the details on this LO..ahh
I throw so much paper doily away that I just stopped buying it, but I love yours.
