No more promises, just an update

Every time I'm away from blogging for extended periods of time, I come back with the promise to do better. Well no more promises, I'll just break it any way. What I will do is just post an update. I must have been busy... right, that's what's been keeping me from blogging...right? It couldn't have been sheer laziness...or could it?  let's just go with a combination of both (more busy than lazy though).

I have done some traveling since my last post. Let's see, in May I went to visit Kisha. Went had a scrappy good time. They had their first CKC Convention and we had a good time. The vendors were just ok, however there was one that had tons of Prima goodies and I stocked up. We scrapped the weekend away. Here is a layout I made using a photo we took outside of the convention center;

In June, I attended the 4th annual Swirlydoos Retreat. Talk about fun, I met up with 12 of the craziest, nicest, wildest most talented women that live in my computer. We talked, laughed, cried, shopped, ate, drank, oh and scrapped a little for 5 days and 4 nights. We stayed at The Paper Doll House, where mary Kim took care of our every need. if you get an opportunity to go, it is well worth it. It is an old Victorian house and we decided to do a vintage photo shoot. Here is one of my favorite photos from the shoot. This photo is bad ass in sepia.

Right after the retreat i was lucky enough to go to CHA in Vegas. That was so much fun seeing all the new releases and getting so much swag. I have been lucky enough to attend for the past 4 years with Krissy the owner of Swirlydoos. She invites any of her members who want to go. here is a layout I made using a photo from CHA. they sent me to find the ice creamsocial and I came back with what was in our hands. This is CHA swirly style:

Dh and I just got back from our annual trip to New Orleans. We love going this time of year. It coincides with my birthday and the start of football season. We are big New Orleans Saints fans. This years trip was amazing as was opening day at the Superdome. After the game one of the players (Jimmy Graham) gave me his game towel (sorry no pictures, I was too excited) LOL!

I have a few more layouts to share with you. These were done for various challenges. They all use different kits from Swirlydoos kit club. Hang on this long over due post is alomst over. LOL!

I had more than I realized. These are a few of my favorites. I guess I have been busy scrapping. I will post more on my next update.

Thanks for stopping by.

I love this line "wildest most talented women that live in my computer."

Hey there! I see you've been busy, love all the layouts and the vintage photo is adorable.
