I am hosting this months SGC challenge over at Swirlydoos. It's a monthly challenge hosted by forum members. You pick the subject and you set the rules. My subject is mixed media related. I want you to pull out all those mediums and put them to work. The twist to this challenge is to do your layout inspired by one of you favorite scrap artist. Plus, I want you to pull out all those embellishments you have been saving for the perfect project and use them.
I created my example layout inspired by Adrienne Ford. I love her backgrounds and how she uses her mist to paint with. The photo is of my dh and our gorgeous niece at her 1st birthday party. Poor baby wasn't feeling well (teething) and really wasn't enjoying herself. When I got home and downloaded the photos I took, I knew this one had to be scrapped right away.
I used mist (4 different colors), gesso (black and white), stamping, mask and molding paste, distress stain, crackle medium, and inka gold. The background paper is 7Dots, from the messy head collection. I really like how this turned out, and may do it again. It felt good to try something new and have it turn out the way I wanted it too.
Stop by the forums and check out all of the challenges going on. You don't have to be a kit subscriber to play.
Thanks for stopping by.
