Creative Embellishments July Challenge

I am so excited to be sharing my first Creative Embellishments Design Team post. Creative Embellishment sells great chipboard pieces, along with stamps stencils and wood veneer pieces. If you haven't checked out their online store, you are really missing out. They have great shipping times and excellent customer service.

On to my project that I created for the July monthly challenge. You must use 1 element from the photo and then add the twist. The twist for July was to use stars. Here is the inspiration piece:

What a perfect inspiration piece for July. Here is my take on the challenge:

CE July Challenge

I was inspired by the colors and the All American feel. The photo is of my Dad at a July 4th BBQ. I thought this photo was the perfect fit. His hat says All American Dad and he has always been my Hero. I used the falling-stars-border and cut it into a couple of pieces. I used aged gold embossing powder on them.  For my title I used amazing title. It just got a simple coat of acrylic paint. I love the simplicity of the layout, it really keeps the focus on the picture.  Stop by the blog and check out the other DT members projects and try your hand at the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by. Check back later this month for more of my Creative Embellishment projects.
