Hey guys it's the first of the month, so you know what that means. It's time for a new challenge at Creative Embellishments. They have a challenge each month. Creative Embellishment sells great chipboard pieces, along with stamps stencils and wood veneer pieces. If you haven't checked out their online store, you are really missing out. They have great shipping times and excellent customer service.
Onto the challenge... As usual please be inspired by a least 1 element from the picture and the twist is to use a piece of wood on your project.
Here is the inspiration piece:
On to my layout I created for the November challenge:
I was inspired by the fall colors and the overall feel of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The photos is of the Thanksgiving table setting one year. Dh had to work so instead of me going to family for dinner, I cooked for just the 2 of us before he left for work. I didn't let the fact that it was just the 2 of us keep me from going all out with the table setting.
So, I dug deep into my stash for the papers and flowers. For my chippies, I used the leafy-corner-flourish-set that first covered in clear gesso. Then I painted it with Prima color bloom 2 spray in Golden Walnut. It's a really pretty green gold color, perfect for this challenge.
For the twist I added a wooden tag, which I hand wrote my part of my title on.
Here are some close ups of my page:
That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to you have all month to join in on the challenge over at Creative Embellishments.
