Forever with International Scrapbook Garden

Hey everyone, I'm back today to share another layout created using this months Toolshed kit: Winter Adventures from The International Scrapbook Garden. This kit is filled with the Denim and Friends paper line from Maja Designs. It's great for masculine or winter pages, but again I decide to make a feminine layout with it.

Here is my layout:

This kit is filled with a lot of fun embellishments. The mixed media kit compliments everything so well. I used items from the main kit as well as the bonus embellishment. I pulled in a few things from my stash to make it a bit more girly.

Here are some close up:

I used a stencil and some modeling paste both from my stash for the background. Then a bit of stamping with the brown ink from the main kit. I've been into paper tearing a lot lately. To soften it up a bit I added the lace around it.

There are fun chipboard pieces in the main kit as well as the chipboard bonus kit. The chipboard heart is a perfect for girly layouts. To color I used some blue embossing powder from my stash. I added the swirl chipboard piece from my stash to draw your eye to the photo. I embossed it with white embossing powder.

The flowers are from the bonus embellishment kit. I dug out some paper clay pieces I made with Prima molds from my stash to tuck into the flower clusters.

Showing more of the fun chipboard, the title is from the main kit. These little words and hearts are so adorable.

Here are the kits I used for this layout:

That's all I have for today, thanks for stopping by.

Make it Prima June Challenge and a little 49 and Market

Hey everyone, I'm just popping in to share a few layouts I created at Swirly camp. I can't believe how productive I was. I hit a personal best in camp scrapping. I managed to get 8 layouts/projects done. These that I am sharing today were done just for fun. It's nice to just pull out some pictures and scrap for yourself, not for a design team or anything.

So my first layout is for the June Make it Prima challenge. I loved the mood for this challenge and the colors were so fun and summery.

I "borrowed" the picture from my brother's Facebook page. It's a picture of my niece at the beach. I just thought it was perfect for the French Rivera papers.

First off here is the Make it Prima June Challenge:

Make it prima

Like I said aren't the colors just wonderful. Plus that wonderful beachy mood.

Here is my entry. I didn't use all the colors, however I did get some of the fun blues and browns in my beach themed layout.

Here it is:

Make it Prima June

Everything on this page except for the chippies and the seashells are Prima products. That includes the stamps, gesso and mist. The papers and flowers are from the French Rivera line. The chippies are from Creative Embellishments and the title piece is from Tim Holtz.

I didn't do much to this layout, I really wanted the picture to shine. I love the "frame" of flowers I created at the bottom to highlight the photo. Overall, I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Next up I have a layout I created using 49 and Market Vintage Artistry. I really love these papers. They are kind of neutral, so you can do what you want with them.

I thought this picture was perfect for this paper:

49 and Market

I did some stenciling, stamping and misting on the background using some Prima color blooms in worn leather and tea stain. The chippie pieces are by Dusty Attic and have been heat embossed with some fine gold embossing powder by Ranger.

I used a combination of Prima and 49 and Market flowers. The resin feathers were brushed with some Prima artisan powder and the I rubbed some art alchemy wax on them. I finished this layout off with some gold glitter glass and a few splats.

Stop by later this week and I'll have more to share from my scrappy week away.

April Dusty Attic Challenge

Hi everyone, I'm back today to share my layout I created for the April Dusty Attic challenge. This month's mood board has a rustic theme to it. Here is the mood board:

You can use the sketch or you can just use the inspiration photos. I chose to just go with the inspiration photos.

Here is my layout:

I used paper and flowers from 49 and Market. Plus some flowers from Petaloo. I used the Dusty attic chicken wire and wagon wheel chipboard pieces. The chicken wire was heat embossed with a patina embossing powder. The wagon wheel was first heat embossed, then I used some perfect pearls. While that was still wet I added a different color embossing powder and heat set it. I love the texture this creates.

There is some stenciling and stamping on the background as well as the misting. I used some Prima color bloom 2 sprays for the misting.

This photo was taken in the mountains of Colorado while I was on a scrappy retreat with friends.

Well, that's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Stay Wild layout

Hi everyone!

I'm sharing a layout I created for the March "Make it Prima" challenge.

Here is the Prima mood board:

I really love this color combo.

Here is my layout:

I used products from the Rossi Belle and Wild and Free collections. Plus I included some of my favorite older Prima resin pieces. I did some stenciling in the background and used my Prima watercolors.

I used a few pieces of Dusty Attic chipboard I got in a special order from Swirlydoos kit club.

Here are a couple of close up:

Prima, Blue Fern and Dusty Attic Challenges

I'm sharing some layouts I created for a few challenges. I had some free time to scrap for myself and decide to join in on the fun.

First up is the Prima BAP Challenge. Here is the October BAP Sketch

Here is my layout based on the sketch. I used The Timeless Memories collection for this layout. I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Lastly, I have the Dusty Attic mood board challenge. I loved the colors in this. Here is the mood board.

Here is my take on the mood board. I used papers and embellishments from Art Anthology that came in the Swirlydoos August *Sun-Kissed* Kit (there are still some kits available). I added some of my favorite Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

That's all I have to share for today. Thanks for stopping by.
